Ph.D., computer engineer, amateur photographer, and video game nerd (not the angry one)
I graduated from the National School of Computer Science (Tunisia) as a Computer Engineer back in 2008. I also received my Research Master's Degree in Software Engineering and Business Intelligence from the same school in 2009. Later on, I conducted my Ph.D. thesis (that I defended in 2013) at Télécom ParisTech (France) under the advisorship of Prof. Dr. Fabrice Rossi. In my thesis, I explored two research problems related to the analysis and data mining of moving object trajectories: on-the-fly sampling of trajectory data streams and clustering trajectory data in road network environments.
I'm currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Ifsttar (Institut français des sciences et technologies des transports, de l'aménagement et des réseaux) where I am involved in the Mobilletic project. The aim of this project is to study the analysis and visualization of smart card data collected through AFC (Automated Fare Collection) systems.
